First, the concept of therapy must be defined, as this term is commonly used in a very
broad and general sense. For us, therapy is the process, or group of processes, leading to
the cure or improvement of a pathology, or of one or more of its symptoms. Therefore,
when applying Therapy Assisted by Dogs (TD), one must define one or more specific
parameters targeted for improvement, and assess any variation. In order to be able to do
this, we have to know of the benefits a dog can provide and take advantage of them. As
